The metaverse is still forming and at an early stage, therefore there are many definitions about it, for some it seems like the next step for conquering the digital space, for others it’s a virtual space personalized by the user, as I understand it, today the metaverse is a complex digital layer that expands our physical life though technology and will be available in any device, anywhere in the world. The way we interact with the world will change for good, and where there is change there is opportunity.

Metaverse: Four Pillars To Conquer The Future Of Business

According to one of Wunderman Thompson’s studies, 76% of daily activities depend on technology, which means that aspects such as creativity, well-being, livelihood, even social life depend on it.

According to marketing specialists, the Metaverse represents an extended reality convergence (XR), gaming, social media, and cryptography, therefore, it offers an only way to reach audiences with digital mentality in attractive ways.

Facing our new reality, I’d like to introduce you to the 4 pillars of the metaverse that must be considered from now on, to make the most of the advantages it has to offer:

  1. A VIRTUAL WORLD WITH META-LIVES, META-SOCIETIES AND META-BUSINESSES.

It is a world in which one can live as a digital being and have meta-lives. A sort of a roleplay game. Two identities in one; one in the physical world and the other into the Metaverse with avatars that will be able to share digital spaces to work, to do businesses, exercise and even socialize. It’ll be the biggest digital extension of our lives.

Once we have businesses in the Metaverse, we’ll target meta-lives, the avatar’s lives.

Some examples:

  • Meta-businesses

In this virtual world there will be blockchains and NFTs, that’ll enable you to buy whatever you need in that world.

  • Meta-societies

These societies will have their own rules, you can design what that society will be like, how it should be.

  • Threshold

A door to go through to experience the metaverse. The virtual realms are the ones that enable us to live a different life without leaving our house. You’ll have the possibility of experiencing other spaces or places that haven’t been designed as a reality yet. You’ll be able to experience feelings, as well.

A little taste of the metaverse’s reach would be Ariana Grande’s interactive concert in Fortnite, where 27.5 million people were part of and Ariana all those people without leaving her living room.

  • Virtual events

Just as Ariana Grande’s concert, in the digital world exists the possibility of planning several virtual events. If someone has previous knowledge about virtual events, they tend to be more willing to attend one. So, the more people know about the Metaverse, the better.

2. AUGMENTED REALITY.

By means of the augmented reality we’ll have major improvements in the physical world using interfaces and sensors. The Metaverse will endow users with a sixth sense, driven by technology that will provide a lot of information and will turn work, processes and life into journeys and experiences.

Each time people want to do something or need the help of an expert for it, you can become the expert you need, since there’ll be a journey that’ll make it possible.

Map every journey to ensure continuity. As a company, understand that these journeys are for your business.

3. MIRROR WORLDS.

It’s about a reflection of the physical world, virtually enhanced with sensors that provide detailed aspects about the real world. Even though physically it’s not real, the experience is.

Today we use several sensors to measure the amount of light, blood pressure, states of emotions, amongst others. These sensors merged with haptic systems will help various external areas, such as medicine, by generating virtual bodies.

Mirror worlds give us the opportunity to create brand new experiences for users and perfect it through data analysis. It’s important to know how to transpose data.  You must master your own data and access third party data.

4. LIFELOGGING

This is a way to register automatically to this life. Taking into consideration all the sensors around us, they’ll be capable of recreating memories, that’ll be more than simple images, but will also reproduce they way you felt in that moment. Opportunities for everyone

In this parallel society that intertwines real life with digital life, virtual communities are infinite, and they’re interwoven whereas is possible to offer multiple virtual goods and services, including making transactions like in real life.

For the Hispanic market, the metaverse is a virtual place to make investments in an unlimited and interconnected virtual world. For instance, 600 pairs of digital shoes were sold for $3.1 million dollars in 7 minutes, a Gucci handbag digital-only was sold in Roblox for over $4,000.00. It isn’t science fiction; these transactions are real.

There’ll be a space for services like real state, journey builders, concerts, ceremonies, virtual labs, conferences, activities that can be experienced in this virtual world, where the opportunities to make businesses will be endless and highly satisfactory.
